COVID-19 Policyholder Information

7/7/2020 COVID-19 Notice for Policyholders - Billing & Premium Payments

The New York Department of Financial Services emergency order set out in the Governor's Executive Order 202.13 and issued to all insurers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has expired.

While there were many aspects to the order, the key elements were:

- If you had an active policy in force with us on March 23, 2020 and your premium due date was July 6, 2020 or prior, if you needed it, you were afforded extra time commencing with the policy premium due date to pay your bill.
- We did not cancel your policy during this period for nonpayment of premium.
- We waived any late fees associated with these missed payments.
- We did not report negative data to any credit reporting agency.

Now that the moratorium is over, we will return to our normal billing cycle with you.

- If able, in addition to your current premium due with this invoice or nonpayment cancellation notice, we encourage you to pay the premium that was deferred during the moratorium now.
- You can alternatively choose to spread the deferred premium over the remaining installments.
- If you cannot pay the premium deferred during the moratorium, we will allow for the repayment of this deferred premium due over a 12 month period.
- Payment is required on any current or future premiums due.

If you are able to pay the deferred premium now, we thank you. If you need to make other arrangements, please contact us at our toll free number 877-434-4550.

We know that everyone has been and continues to be impacted by COVID-19. We hope that our flexibility during this difficult time has taken some pressure off and allowed you to take care of other pressing financial issues.
